Happy Slapsgiving...err Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and this week's episode of How I Met Your Mother was a perfect kick-off to this week's festivities. If you didn't watch it check your TiVO or watch it on Hulu! It was the best Slapbet show ever!

I am actually staying put in LA this week. Sad I won't be home with my family, BUT I will be celebrating Thanksgiving twice. First on Thursday with my friend Kat and her family. Then on Friday, Dylan and I are celebrating with his family at his new place. He has to work on Thursday, so the Friday is the big day. This will also be the first meal cooked in this new kitchen which is BEAUTIFUL and just finished today.

I will be using this pan from William Sonoma to bake some delicious pumpkin acorn breads.

Then I will be baking my mom's special pecan pie! Her secret which is really not a secret at all is to put bourbon in the filling. No kids in this family so it is acceptable - dont judge! :)

I will probably also make my verison of stuffing. I call it California stuffing because it has articoke hearts and olives, but it really has nothing to do with California at all - I just LOVE it.
